Even better - the latest poll questions they've been monitoring deal with how pissed off people are about the gas prices...They've been dropping, less people are angry about this all and are just fine taking it in the backside from the oil companies... so when gas prices DON'T drop, it's only because the public is okay with that.I hope they're not upset only out of compassion and understanding for the disaster... but I would hope they increase in percentages the longer it stays this high.Or we're screwed. Even though we get good gas milage - the world still runs on oil...
Paid $2.759 for regular yesterday. Probably will be higher today when I fill up the Vibe. This whole situation makes me feel like the frog in the pot of water about to be raised to the boiling point.
Quote, originally posted by binary »2.89 last week, then jumped to 2.99, and back down to 2.89.Remember when gas didn't jump a dime a day? It's been so long, I sure as hell don't remember.

You guys are killing me!? Houston usually has some of the lowest prices in the nation, but we're easily 10% above what you all have posted. Here's the latest price graph of what my wife has paid for gas on her RAV4:
2.39 Here, that seems low but I would bet that it will be down below 2 bucks again before first of the year, unless we all start "running to the pumps".

I paid $2.18 for gas today!!!!! I was so thrilled!!! I still had a half tank, but I was so excited to see it so cheap...I just HAD to buy some. Now isn't it sad that we think that $2.18 is cheap? I remember the first time I filled up the Vibe---it was about $10.50...the good ole days....

I remember a couple years ago when I first joined the forum on my 16th b-day I filled the tank completely with less than $15. I posted it on here too. Then SilverAWD responded with "$15 bucks.. Gas went up to a $1.69..."Wouldn't it be nice if it were that cheap again? lol.
I just paid $2.77/gal for 91 last night at Costco in Hawthorne, CA. Note that other gas stations in the surrounding area had prices up to $2.95/gal! *******s!

Filled up the Vibe for $2.95 (87 octane) last night. I need to fill up the Neon on my way home from work tonight. Wonder what my chances are that I'm actually going to be able to get the same price? Some of the independent stations in my neighborhood are already at $3.09/gallon for 87 octane.

Just paid 2.95 for 87 Octane at the new Quick Trip station at 51st Ave and the I-10 about a half hour ago. Saw 3.19 for 87 octane at an independent station at the corner of Extension and Southern about 5 minutes ago.

2.87 9/10 in Columbus 4-21-06 but I get a 5% rebate on my Credit Card so that brings it down to 2.73 9/10. I think it is going to get worse.

$2.89 this week, was $2.9x last for 87.I bought some other dude gas yesterday for $2.87. What can I say, I saw a a guy I know who works in a different department walk into the gas station and pay for $1.91 in gas, the 91 cents were all in pennies. He seemed like he was really having some rough times lately, I don't know what's up since he works during the day and I do not... But anyway I walked out there and put my card in the machine. Told him "Man, I don't know what all is going on with you, but I can tell that you're not doing so well" and I bought him some gas. He didn't want me to, the $1.91 was enough "to get me home" he said, but eh... Damn, what's up with that, being all nice and stuff? I do that crap every now and then, makes me feel good and stuff. Now, my Vibe could use some gas...
