Hi,I have had my 06 base auto vibe for 2 days now and today after a cold start and driving 6 miles in 65 deg F sunny weather, I stopped at a store for about 15 min. When I got back and tried to start it, it turned over for about 4 sec before it kind of sluggishly started. For a moment I thought it wasn't going to start. Before this, it always started normally (1 sec). Then after this incident it started normally again. Is this anything to be concerned with? Anyone else had this happen before? Thanks.
mine does that here and there too. ive had mine about 9 months. i think it might be spark plugs... but thats just me. any other input would help from the other genvibe memebrs

Thanks for all the input and thanks northvibe for the links.Just sad that my Vibe was made in March and they still did not put in the new pcm?I will probably wait and see if the problem gets any worse or better since the pcm is still learning according to a poster in the link.
There is another TSB out, at least from Toyota where they actually need to replace the fuel pump assembly I believe(trying to remember before coffee )..I'll see if I can find the link for you...it is over on Matrixowners.com Here is the link to the discussion...go to last page to see TSB http://matrixowners.com/forums....html
hi ya...it sounds like you are having problems with the fuel delivery system. most of the time it is related to dirty fuel injectors. try using chevron gas if you are using another brand. the trick is that you must use chevron religiously. i know that there aren't any chevrons up north and hopefully you live somewhere there is. (you may have to use chevron for at least 6 fill ups or more before you begin to see a dramatic effect). but don't use anything else in between because it won't help if you only fill up with chevron every other time. you must do it every time.do some research on chevron and you will see that there are only benefits. i know that the fuel costs more, but not only will it save you more gas, but it will give you better performance by cleaning your engine and better pedal/acceleration response (no lag). believe me, it will save you more money than buying the cheapest gas possible. the reason: the problem with other branded fuels is that more is wasted due to poorly added detergents. this actually cloggs up your injectors and the result is wasted unburned fuel. if you are not able to use chevron, then i would suggest buying techron from you local auto parts store and use it every fill up.gl.
Blah Blah Blah.. cookie cutter copy of "Hot soak starting problem," hopefully it will eventually be fixed, the pcm likely won't fix the problems, however, pontiac is "working on it."http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=20641
