GenVibe.com wallpaper project

Post by GrayFox »

Hey Everyone,I enjoy making my own wallpapers from time to time and I thought since I have a Vibe and really enjoy this site, that I could make one (& I haven't found too many out there). I figure someone might enjoy my work. The only thing I need is pictures of Vibes of course. If noone minds I would like to use the pictures out of the VOTM galleries. Let me know if anyone objects to this (surely not, but I'd rather ask first)Anyway I'll post it as soon as I'm finished and if anyone has any suggestions for future wallpapers, speak up! This first one will be pretty simple. Thanks

The one I'm working on now is 1280 x 1024, so I can easily scale it down.I'm doing kind of a colage thing so I need 10-15 pics. I'd like them to be pretty varied.

I might be able to in the future. I would rather do generic genvibe.com one to suit everyone for right now, but I'll keep it in mind and I'll let you know if I get some free time.

1680x1050Very cool idea! one problem, I (and i'm assuming many?) have a widescreen laptop (others may have lcd's for desktops) so i'm running 1680x1050. This causes normal 4:3 images to stretch, or have annoying borders on the sides. So can you make two versions of your wallpaper for both screen ratios? Thanks in advance and looking forward to seeing your work!
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

I changed the size of the one I'm making to 1600x1200 so I could scale down and fix one up for you widescreen ppl. As for the dual 22" screens, can you set the wallpaper seperately for each monitor? If so then all I would need to do is know the resolution and either make two sperate ones of one huge one. I've dual display wallpapers on other sites before, maybe I can try and find some and see what size they are.I've collected alot of good pics, most from VOTM but I've found some others that I really like. Thanks for all the OKs I've gotten so far, I'll try and include those as space permits.
