The Koenigsegg CCR (top speed: 241mph) was the car the nudged the McLaren F1 LM (top speed: 240mph) from being the fastest production car in the world...until just recently. The new `06 Koenigsegg CCX is a little faster (top speed: 245mph), and costs about $600,000 loaded, and looks like this:It is rear wheel drive, and is pushed with a supercharged V8 pushing out over 800hp. The "ghost" emblem means that it's been "tweaked" a little bit for a specific owner:But...it's not the fastest production car in the world anymore...this is:This is the `06 Bugatti Veryon 16.4. "16.4" means it's a 16 cylinder engine with 4 turbos, all wheel drive, and pushes out 1001hp---and has the fastest top speed of any production car at 253mph!!!! It also costs $1.7 million too!!!! Here's some more pics for you to drool over:When I win the lotto, this shall be mine!!!!!!!!!!!

OOPS!!! My mistake! It's top speed is only 252.3mph!!!But, it does 0-60 in under 3 seconds, and amazingly goes from 0-200mph in 14 seconds!!!!!! I would love a chance at getting behind the wheel of one of these!

One of the best "perks" when working for car magazines, is that you get to drive a lot of exotic cars that you would probably never get a chance to own! I have driven the s7, and it is a blast to drive! I have a tough time trying to get into to it, but it was definityely worth the effort!
