And so, my Vibe's days are numbered...

Post by Altus »

After a wonderful 3 year long relationship, we and our Vibe are going to be parting The time has come - my wife is expecting our 3rd child this summer and the Vibe just can't do 3 car seats across the back - no way, no how. And we're just not ready to become a 2 vehicle family yet.So - alas - it's official - the Vibe gets traded in this Saturday on a brand new, off the lot, 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan (with Stow N Goâ„¢ seats ). They're clearing them out, and we got a fantastic deal with a really good value for the trade-in -- couldn't pass it up.We really, really love our Vibe, but must bow to necessity here. I'll miss GenVibe too Everyone take care now....

I got 254K miles out of my Caravan before the deer made it economically impratical to repair.Enjoy it, sorry about the vibe, but the kids are more important.and congrats on the impending #3 being an exviber doesn't require also being an exgenviber

Sad to see it go, but you have to do what is right for the family... that's the important thing.

Best wishes, Altus, and good luck with the new minivan. You've been a member here for a long time, I hope you'll still stop in and visit us once in a while and at least say hi.

*gasp* a MINIVAN! no, altus! don't let the minivan suck you in!!! j/kreally, just because you don't have the vibe anymore, doesn't mean you can't still hang out with us. but i'm sure you'll be pretty busy. however, all those late nights, might as well post up here or there. good luck and congrats on #3!

Congratulations! You don't have to leave because you don't have the car any longer. Owning the Vibe isn't a requirement, as others have pointed out. I'll also add that you don't even have to like the Vibe, I don't after what I've been through with this thing but I'm still here. It's more about the people, not the car.Good luck to you and I hope you stick around!

Time for a change... And humiliating ricers in the process would be swell.

i hope you get the 3.3 v6 they offer. that's what igot on my town and country. it hauls (removed). however. i have to agree with popular believe. the vibe "feels" ways more sporty than a minivan. whenever i can, i hop on the vibe and throw it around a bit.good luck on the new addition to the family. have you guys came up with a name yet?

Oh yeah - I'm sure I'll be sticking around We wanted to go for the Gr Caravan SXT to get all the good stuff like the towing package and the 3.8L engine, but we just couldn't justify the extra $12K. So we got the SE with the 3.3 - oh and the Stow N Go seats rock! We got the middle bench, so it doesn't stow - but the rear's are amazing.Oh - and my steel wheels are for sale if anyone wants 'em! Wheels/Tires for sale
