Post your head-unit pics here

Post by jeffbacon »

I'd like to get an idea of what various head units look like in the Vibe as I want to get MP3 support in my '04 Vibe and I'm not sure whether to get a whole new head unit or get the external AUX in for my MP3 player. I'd like MP3 CD support (which would require a new head unit) but I definatly require an input to connect my iRiver H10 MP3 player somehow. I'm not willing to spend tonnes of $$ but the external AUX unit isn't cheap either. I'd like to get an idea of various head unit styles installed appearence to compare as that's pretty important to me.There's various pics of peoples units in various topics but I though it'd be nice to aggregate some of them. So, anyone up for posting thier head unit pics?here's a few topics with pics from people:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ro...age=2

I have a Panasonic CQ-C1333U that I got from Crutchfield. I didn't want much, I just needed something that worked since my factory radio didn't and wanted something that had an aux input. I didn't have much to spend either... So, for $120 I got my auxiliary input, MP3 capability, and a remote. I'm very happy with this one. Sorry I don't have any pics of it in the daylight, I don't get out much when the sun is up. I think it sorta blends in nicely with the rest of the stuff at night, even with the blue display. The blue doesn't really appear in that bright cyan color at night, that's just the camera not knowing what to do with that color. UPDATE! I lied! I forgot about these, so I do have some in the daylight.

Good price and the color at night match very nicely in the dark.

Alpine CDA-9833 It plays cd's, mp3s, wmas, etc.. The 4 red blocks and the red background colors are changeable. The red background colors are the same but the 4 red blocks are purple right now.

The trim panel is off cause I'm painting it a new color to hide scratches that it had on it when I originally bought it and I had to hook up a XM module. It's a Pioneer AVH-3300BT with an e-brake relay I installed that will let me use all functions while in drive.
