Headlight Popped Off Inside How To Clean Particles

Post by badjepoy »

im wondering whats the best thing to do to clean the inside of a headlight to take off the dust on the headlight wall and also the bits and pieces of glasses from the popped headlight. the inside of the whole fixture is cloudy and looks darker. im trying to take off the headlight by removing 2 screws from the top but i cant still take it off. it looks like theres another screw or lock holding it somewhere on the bottom. please help a newbie thank you

I think they are sealed. so you would either need to bake the headlight assembly and then cut/peel the clear cover off or try to cut and pop the front lense off but you might break it.

Get it fixed under warranty, especially if they are stock bulbs. Don't try messing with it yourself or they might not fix it.

oh duh, yea if its under warranty make them do it. if its out of warranty, to get it open im sure you have to take the headlight out of the car bumper/front and bake it then cut it open, ill have to look for the tutorial...EDIT: heres how they got it aparthttp://www.thewrongway.com/jdmheadlights.html
