Thanks All!I got a question that may seem stupid, but I dont know much about engines and stuff lol.Whats the difference between Short Ram Intake and Cold Air Intake?I was looking at getting one sometime soon hopefully and I really dont know the difference. Also which one would be easier to install? Thanks!

well...Short ram (SR): goes right where your stock box was.Cold Air Intake (CAI): is a lil curvy and the filter is near your fog light.SR is easy to install and sounds nice... its sucks up the warm air in the engine thoughCAI is harder to install and pulls the colder air at the bottom of the fender. My opinion is i love the cold air intake... i just installed mine. they are a pain to install but sweet!!!i used to have a SR but i like the CAI better.good luck.. i dont know much about the HP / Torque so maybe others can give you that info.

Short Ram (SR): 5-7hp gain (brings in warm engine air) Cold Air Intake (CAI):7-10 hp gain (brings in colder air from behind foglight)

That is what I have now and I love it:Higher cost due to more and better materials and the name brand.I got mine for $175.95 w/ free shipping on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1Here is an article from TPR Magazine that rated the Weapon-R Secret intake their winner: http://www.tprmag.com/issue/1/sr-results.shtml

I know it doesn't say it anywhere in his sig or on his Cardomain site but I know his is an AWD so it's still a cable throttle.

You might have to warm up the connector hose that goes from the intake to the filter to stretch it to get it on but that was it. I just nuked mine for about 20-30 seconds to warm it up adn was then able to stretch it enough to get it on the pipe. It doesn't stretch very well when cold.

Yeah, baby! And nice rims, too! I didn't see what kind of springs you installed, but I'm guessing Tein S-type from the drop you got there.

so how do like the sw short intake? I love the sound of it.... kinda throaty eh. that was the first mod i did on my car. by the way sweet ride. back on topic very nice rims and the low ride looks very sharp I am torn between lowering my car, I use my car for towing a trailer quite a bit and don't now if it would work as well with it being lowered.

Thanks, you have IM.I wouldn't lower it if you are towing. That is one of the reasons I raised mine back up. So I could start towing.

Well, I noticed my springs are making little squeeks when I hit little bumps every so often. Is there a way I could stop it or is this something that just occurs?I got the Grafxwerks decals on there now. Soon going to buy that Weapon-R Short Ram

someone said after a week the sound went away. but i think that sound is from the coils touching when it bounces or its not sitting right in the strut holder thing. After seeing your pics, i think im going with the hotchkis springs too, they look good and i hear they give a really good ride. What tint is your windows?

I have also read that they will squeek if the spring wasn't seated properly or moved during the install. If it continues you may want to take a look at that.I'm guessing your tint is about 35%. It looks close to mine.Your gonna love the Weapon-R SR. I am very happy with mine.

Thanks! lol My car is all dirty in the pics with the decals, its hard to keep it clean during the week cause of work haha.Im thinking the coils are rubbing each other cause I was looking out at the springs and i noticed they were pretty close together when I parked it outside here, I kinda have to park on uneven ground but for the most part is even where I park. If i take my time going over the bumps and stuff Im fine, and just certain bumps make it squeek and others they are fine, its just weird lol.

Well I took my car to the garage today to get a oil change and to get it fixed.I think they fixed the problem, it didnt squeak the whole way home from work so Im happy about that. What they did was loosen the control arm bushings to allow twist or relax if they would. And lubed the bushings and retightened. Also they Lubed the Sway arm bushings at the frame and spring mounts. So im hoping that it fixes the problem! time will tell i guess!
