3rd gear syncro?

After some good racing saturday night I have noticed that if I shift to 3rd a little hard it almost sounds like it is grinding. If I shift slow no problem. Does this sound like a syncro prob or something else?

Yes. That's the beginning of a synchro problem. If it gets worse, you soon wont be able to shift smoothly at all without grinding it.

Thanks, any idea how much it would cost to replace? I have heard of replacing the stock ones with brass ones is this avail for our cars?
