Something fixed was not fixed?

Post by Merzbow »

I took my car in a LONG time ago when it was still under warentee. One reason was because hte A-pillar fell off becuase for somereason they reomoved the dash when replacing my radio. So I took that in and then later took it in because all but one of hte push clips under the car holding hte dirt shields up fell off. Well while changing the oil the other day I noticed they replaced the clips with different clips because they were a little too long like 1mm or so which allowed the dirt shields to slide back and forth a little bit but enough to rattle. I took it to the dealer and he said since its been so long and it doens't have extended warentee they wouldn't fix it.Everytime I go into the dealer they all act like A-holes like I am giving them an inconvinience for being there so I was just wondering if he was handing me trash or if it was true...I figured since they were suposed to fix it while under warentee and they didn't fix it correctly I should eb able to get it corrected.

Why does the dash need to be removed to replace a radio? I've taken out a radio before on a Vibe and it was simple. Popped off the cover around it and unbolted it from the supports and it pulled right out.

when ever you get something fixed it is under warranty for 1 year from the date it was fixed.I lost some of those clips underneath and GM was a pain to get replacement clips they kept ordering the wrong ones. it would be easier to go to a toyota dealer and get them. probably cheaper too.ask nice to talk to the owner, tell him the situation.

Yeah its been over a year. I'm not concerned with the a-pillar molding but...Yeah I was wondering why they took the dash apart as well. The reason I noticed was because they had to order the new radio and when I came out from class the a-pillar molding had fallen off half way and was hanging in my face, then I noticed the dash board was crooked. i was wondering why they screwed with the dash to get out the radio...
