At the repo man's auction - he also has the contract to auction seized items from the US Marshals - this Saturday, there are not one, but two, Vector M12s up on the block. Hell, I can't remember the last time I saw one for sale! I'm planning on going and will report, just for s&%$ and grins what they bring on the block. The cool thing about the Marshals sales is that there are no reserve prices, so high bidder drives it home. The M12 is powered by a V12 producing 490 Horsepower giving it a 0-60 of 4.8 and top speed of 190 MPH! There were pics posted on the auction site, but for some reason they've been taken down, so go here if you want to see a Vector. http://www.rapidcars.com/m12.php
Mods: 04 center armrest, 04 Matrix AM/FM/CD/Cassette, Electrochromatic rear view mirror w/compass, GM hood protector, Ventvisors on doors and moonroof, one-touch close moonroof. added 12v outlet in console, Goodyear TripleTred tires, Sirius satellite radio.
It is kind of ugly, but considering it's a 25 year old car, it still holds its own among supercars. When I was with Blaupunkt in the late `70's and early `80's, I designed the stereo system for the Vectors, and got to drive one from LA to Vegas for the SEMA show in 1981. It was a blast to drive!
