A-Pillar Assist Handles

Post by GSVibe »

Is there an OEM part or kit for installing an a-pillar assist handle (like in SUVs)?Has anyone done this on their own and is there any danger (structural compromise) ?Thanks--Paul

I don't know of any kits for it... But the 'A'-pillar trim is really flimsy and is held on only by tiny bits of plastic - so if one wanted to install such a thing, they'd really need to find a way to mount the trim more securely before even thinking about adding a handle. It would pull the trim right off first time you grabbed hold of the handle.
