I finally got around to doing another cheap personal mod to my Vibe. I noticed over the past few months that my cargo area has been getting scratched up and wanted to do something about it. I wasn't quite sure how to go about fixing that little problem, and how to keep everything from sliding all over the place. It dawned on me Friday that I should install some carpet in the cargo area and attach it with some industrial strength Velcro. I buckled down and went to my local Home Depot, bought a 6'x8' roll of grey carpet and a bunch of velcro and went to town on my vibe. The overall look is quite pleasing to the eye and I tested the durrability last night with all the junk my wife bought at Wal-Mart. Everything stayed put for the most part and the carpet was very secure. I did however have to buy a good smelling air freshener to hide that aweful smell of new carpet.I'll see if I can borrow a digi. camera from my receptionist in a few minutes so I can take some pics of the results.

Ohh Yeahhh, Next on my list is to transform my vibe into a good ol' fashioned Woody. I was thinkin of throwing some nice cherry-wood on the side pannels and maybe the fenders as well. I have also pre-ordered a very nice Purple and Red Shag material that should compliment the interior nicely.....NOT
