Lights don't flash when I lock the car??

I am confused by this one...since day one, whenever I press the lock button on the key fob, the lights would flash. Then, one day last week, it just quit doing that all together. The doors still lock, but no flash. The wierd part is, nothing else seems to be wrong with the vehicle. It still flashes on unlock, no indicator lights or anything else indicating some problem with the computer or whatever. Anyone got an idea? is some kind of fairly easy reset, or do I need to go to the dealer and find out it was something easy and benign? Thanks in advance!

check all the doors, rear window and hatch to make sure there all closed good.

I checked the door closed indicating switches and as I was doing so, I noticed something I took for granted earlier. Still no flash when locking, flash when unlocking. What I assumed was that all doors were locking. I was wrong. The drivers door does not lock. all other doors are locked but driver door remains open. The door will not lock with the inside lock button either when I am in the car. the only way to lock it is manually push the lock button or use the key from outside. SO could this be the MFAM or something more simple, like a mechanical failure of the driver door lock mechanisim? Any ideas appreciated before I go to the dealer for a diag.

Sorry but I have no idea what it could be beyond your own guesses. However, sounds like something isn't right as it should still lock the door even if it thought it was open.Good luck, and let us know when you get it resolved!
