I haven't put it on yet but here are some pictures of it out of the box. I bought hte prototype because it was cheaper and I figured, it was suposed to be the test hood and it looked like it fit well in the pictures they sent so It probably will fit no problems...She said there is a hairline scratch near the middle of the scoop but I had a hard time finding it and when I did it hardly noticable. Other than that it is virtually flawless. All corners and edges were in great shape.OK, here we go...
Nope, other than the little scratch I told you about in the middle (which you cant see), it is basically flawless. Although I was so excited I wasn't really paying attention so I will look more closely tonight. ALso, along the edges of the middle spilter in the scoop it is a TINY bit hazy but if it is in the clear coat, when I have my friend paint the sides he will re-clear it so no biggy. It was definately worth the 13 month wait and $460.28.I was planning on putting it on after work tonight around 11pm so I could cruise after wards and shoiw it off but now I look outside and it's SNOWWWING!!!!!!!!!!! I tink it snowed like 5 times this whole winter and now it's spring so what makes it think it's ok to start snowing now?!?!?!?!? I really hope the snow doesn't accumulate because if it does im gonna by like 400 aerosol cans and tape them to my car and drive around the city spraying them to destroy the o-zone (removed).Anyways if not tonight than definately tomorow morning I will have it on. I'm going on a trip up north tomorow evening so that will test the hood as far as flying up in my face while driving is concerned. I bought hoodpins for it so those will help hopefully.

Mine is all hazy and looks dusty, but the dust appears to be under the clearcoat and doesn't wipe off. I don't see that in your pics, but they are kind of far and in indoor light. I need to wash and wax it and see if it clears up. You could probably see what I was talking about in the pics I posted.

Don't worry, I'm not too happy right now either. Maybe we should have listened to Havock! Here are the pics of my hood now, and this is not external, but rather looks to be under the clearcoat! I called and emailed Linda already.

I don't even think they looked at them. They probably came from Japan or China or wherever they were built in those same boxes and they just shipped them straight to us. Either way, they better make good on this or I'll be pissed. I've already had enough problems with the dealers, I don't need another one!
