My new Vibe

Post by Chef_K »

I like this car. It is the smallest big truck I have owned. It came down to a competition between the Vibe and the Dodge Caliber. After the Dodge dealer told me it would be a month before they would get anymore in and that there is a waiting list to get one I went to the Pontiac dealer. I don't even wait in line at McDonald's.Got to the dealer, told them I wanted the FWD, in Abyss loaded to include the Sport Package. They didn't have one, but found on in Kansas. Three days later, after driving my gas hog Ford Sport Trac Adrenaline (avg 17mpg), I finally get to go pickup my car. Get to the dealer, he is so proud, and shows me my car. Oh no!! That's not my car!! He looks confused and insists that it is. "It is not my car, it's not finished! Where's my freakin' rear spoilers?"1 1/2 hours later, he tells me they aren't included with the sport package. Well, according to pontiac.com and the book I was reading they were. I buy the car anyway, spend $500 on the spoilers that were supposed to come with the car, and I am not disappointed. In fact, after driving full to mid size trucks most of my life, this is rather room for a little fella. And almost twice the cargo capacity of my former Sport Trac. Anyway, I get the spoilers next week, in exchange I get to drive a brand new Buick around for a day. Some of the particulars on this Vibe are it came with the Sun & Shade Package, to include sunroof, and 7 speaker Monsoon stereo system. The Sport Package, minus my spoilers. Preferred and Premium packages, power everything, leather everything. And I included a picture of it with out it's sports package spoilers on it.Its a fun car, hope it will last forever.

Katscan,I actually live in Papio myself, just move here from Omahell. Had to escape the madness. So, if you want to have a little get together just let me know, since we are probably neighbors and all.Kurt

Also, as far as spoilers go, I like both. I saw the picture of it on pontiac.com in the Salsa and told the wife that is the one I want but not in red. So, yea, I am kind of sold on the two spoiler version. Will post another pic next wednesday after they are installed. Next mod is going to take a few minutes, but I think it is going to be a hood and cool air intake. Got to start saving those bones now.Kurt
