New HU, easy install!!

Hi all. Just finished putting in my Pioneer p5200 from my old car. I was ok with the original HU but didn't want to spend mega $$$ on the AUX adapter for it. I already had my old HU with P-Bus AUX so it wasn't worth it. Btw, HU cost be $5 at Salvation Army. Best deal of my life. Only problem is that rear speaker output doesn't work. No problem, I wired both fron and rear speakers to front output. Oh, and this thing was cake to install too. I used the walmart harness and included antena adapter with an ebay mounting kit. I sprung for the expensive one that had adapters for 1 Din, 2 Din and 2 1 Dins. I planned on getting a 1 Din cup/change holder but my HU requires its own surround bezel since it flips down. Now I have extra parts that I paid $$ for and can't use Oh well, it looks nice at least.

As for the sound, now I wouldn't call myself an audiophile. I know what I like to hear, though: crisp highes and well defined lows. The factory HU did a good job at this. Heck, I only put it on 2-1-1 for equalization and was content. My main reason for putting thew new HU in, like I said, was for the AUX input. It doesn't hurt that it also has 3 levels of Loudness, 45W total power, and builtin crossover for powering a sub. Plus its backlight isn't red, and I was hoping to get away from so much red on the dash. I despise how much red is on 03-04 dashes. Anyway, as for the sound, I think it sounds better. It was a high end HU went it came out, so hopefully it has better A/D converters for playing CDs. I had the AUX setup in my old car and it worked wonderfully. Haven't tried it in this one yet. Much better than any FM modulators or tape adapters. Yeah, this thing was extremely easy to put in. Actually, any new HU would be, as long as you had the cage and wire harness. And with the kit I bought you wouldn't even need the cage. Anyone who can unclip a dash panel, loosen 4 nuts, disconnect a few wire harnesses and reverse the process could put in a new HU.

I don't have enough parts for an entire install, but if happened to install a HU a while ago and want to put in something differen such as 2 single DINs or a 2 DIN unit, my extra parts might be of some use.
