Hey guys, I don't know about you, but my OEM boot is thrashed. Since installing the TWM short shifter, a couple holes/rips have developed at the top/front from the TWM spring, along with it being scrunched up and caved in . I was browsing http://www.matrixowners.com, and found a thread about a member who bought a Redline shift boot, and it looked sweet!Here's a sample: Per this link, they've got a promotion going: http://matrixowners.com/forums....html10% discount coupon code that expires March 25: S4V22HB4W75Anyway, I ordered charcoal w/ medium blue stiching, $42.00 shipped w/ the coupon ($36 + $6 s/h)PS if you have the TWM short shifter, the height reduction is 2.5", BUT, in order to reuse the OEM foam support (looks much better than w/o), and the chrome ring, I'd recommend 1.5" reduction in the boot, no more than 2". The above pic is with a 2" reduction, but he's using the OEM knob w/ TWM. The OEM knob sits deeper than a TWM, so I ordered w/ 1.5" reduction, and will post pics of the install, etc

FWIW they just came out with an e-brake boot in the same leather. I ordered my shift boot yesterday and receivedthe email about the e-brake boot today. I ordered it today. I have no idea how it installs since we don't have a boot from the factory.BTW I ordered shift boot charcoal leather matching stitching and 1.5" shorter for TWM.

i'd like to replace my shift boot (the one thing on this car that looks rather worn after a year...), and pick up one for my e-brake as well (twice now folks have dropped pieces of gum into the gap between those two pieces of rubber), but they don't have the vibe listed on their order form. have you folks that have purchased just called them, or will the part for the matrix fit the vibe as well (the shift boot i'd think would be the same, i'm not sure about the e-brake)?

click on the picture below for more images.notes from the installation:-in step 15 of the [URL=http://www.redlinegoods.com/Matrix0305install.shtm]installation instructions], i had to cut the base wire for my OEM shift boot. after i cut the wire, i used an x-acto knife to make a small hole in the bottem seam of the replacement boot, and then fed the wire through. this was necessary because the base wire for my OEM boot was a solid loop-instalation of the e-brake boot is rather straightforward even without instructions, but as you can see in the pictures the lack of length in the front and the back (above and below the e-brake lever) leaves some strange looking gaps.-redline goods charcoal is not the same as gm's charcoal if you have the OEM leather interior. not even close. however, it still matches the interior nicely.-i didn't re-glue the foam to the replacement boot. i kind of like the saggy look of the new boot without it. i believe the small gap between the bottom of the boot and the plastic trim is because of this. the gap is actually much smaller than it appears in the pictures.

they are 40 each or 60 for both... but i got the piping on mine so it was an extra like 8 bucks for it.with the discount it should be 60 exactly but for just the ebrake i dont know if the discount will apply or how much it would take off.

The ebrake boot just slides over... you just slide it as far back as you can.The boot was a pain in the (removed) to me... GO FIGURE!i took the stock foam insert and glued it to the new boot, then i superglued the boot to the shifter base (tan surrounding) and electrical taped (all i had) the boot to the underside to make sure it stays. came out pretty good. i like it and it looks a lot better then that charcoal color.thanks for the comment
