Temperature sensitive color changing paint!

Post by ballrub »

Remember those color changing Hot wheels that have been around for years? Dip them in cold water and they change color! Run hot water over them and they change back! Remember those?Well...check this out:http://www.2wiceasnice.com.au/I really like the idea that you can pick the changing point temperature, and even better, "Optional colour change on demand + remote activation". I defintiely like that idea!So...I'm thinking of the same Shadow that will change to black...or maybe silver...what do you guys think?

That's sweet! It would be neat to paint your engine componants like that! I found paint similar to this and all kinds of other paints with amazing affects on the TLC house pimping out shows or what ever. I emailed them abuot heat resistance and they said it should stand up to engine heat...not too sure though. Good find! And yea lets see if anyone cant find pricing on this!

That looks pretty sweet... good find! Looks like it takes some special care in order to get the paint to last for a while though.

Of course, your car's gonna look wierd anytime your at the critical temperature point...I'm thinking cloudy days...rain...out of the garage in the mornings...late in the afternoon. Also differential between different body parts...hood..roof...trunk..doors.Think I'll pass. What I would like is auto-dimming windows. If I could change from 35% to 10% in less than a minute...oh, what fun!

Ghia? Man, I love those things... I'd love to get around to restoring/modifying one of those...
