Supposed to snow Sunday and even maybe some on Saturday. You couldn't have come out here two weeks ago when it almost 70?Not sure where your conference is going to be, but the LODO/16th Street Mall areas are always good for entertainment/food. Always something going on down there.

I'd tell you to stop and see my family but that might not be a lot of fun for you. It really depends the kinds of things you like to do. So for me, it is kindof hard to tell you where to go and what to do when you get there. If you have a car and want to drive, I would recommend getting out of the city and going into the mountains. If you head East, you will see the great plains of Colorado. As for places to eat, what kind of budget are you on? My tastes tend to run to the more expensive when I eat out. There is a good family Italian resturant in Lousville, outside of Boulder. If you head up to my old college stomping grounds of Greeley, there is a place called the Smiling Moose, their food is awesome (or at least it was the last time I ate there). Do you speak fluent Spanish? No one in the resturant speaks and English. If so, there is a Mexican resturant right outside of Greeley that has incredible food. If you want to have the crud scared out of you (if you are afraid of heights) head down towards Pueblo and go to the Royal Gorge. It used to be the highest suspension bridge in the US. I think it still is, but you never know what people are building these days and over what. The thing that makes it so scary is that the bridge road is wood slats so if you get out and walk it, you can see all the way to the bottom of the Gorge. And if a car goes over, talk about the rush - I get tears in my eyes every time we go. If you head towards Pueblo and want to see where they housed Timothy McVey for a while, the Federal Penetentary is there. As is the Federal Women's prison. If you want something to do in Denver itself, there is a ton to do. What sorts of things do you like to do?Someone mentioned LODO, I agree, good choice. If I remember correctly, there is a good Russian resturant in that area, but I can't remember exactly where it is located. You could go see the new Bronco stadium!! I own a piece of the old stadium and hear that it may someday be worth something - probably after I am long dead, but hey, I can say I have it!!!I miss home and go back as often as I can. Enjoy my home!!!

Wow thanks Charlie! I will see if I have time to see all of that. I don't think I will have a car so it will be by cab...also for food no problem! I am not afraid of paying if it is worth it...I don't speak Spanish but I speak Italian (its pretty close lol)Thanks again! I will try to enjoy your old home
