BF GOODRICH g-Force Sport

Post by 1oldbanjo »

Does anybody have experience with the BF Goodrich g-Force Sport on a Vibe? They seem to be a pretty affordable summer performance tire. I am going to use 17x7 rims and would use the 225/45-17 size to keep the speedometer ratio the same.I use my car as a commuter car and don't want anything that rides horribly harsh or is very noisy - but it is hard to find a good riding tire in this size. The TireRack reviews on this tire seem very good.Dave

i used to have BF Goodrich Comp T/A on my VW and a good friend had them on his 300Z and we both found that after about 45,000km or so (25,000mi) they would glaze and lose quite a bit of traction.i haven't tried the g-force sport though....
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

I have those tires. They're quiet and give excellent dry traction. The sidewalls are pretty stiff though so most bumps feel pretty harsh. The stiff sidewalls translate into better handling. They don't work well in rain. They easily hydroplane over small puddles. Forget about them in the snow. They're labeled max summer tires for a reason. I got stuck so many times in just 2-3 inches of snow this weekend.
