stock cd player hates new cds

Post by meistees »

has anyone had issues with their stock cd player refusing to play brand new cds? When I put them in it sounds like its just spinning or not making full contact with the motor inside...sometimes they start to play but the slightest bump and they skip... I can play burnt discs no problem and anything commercially released older than a year or so

The only problem i had was on a long trip my stock single disc player would get really warm and skip on bumps

I have the opposite problem, commercial CDs work fine, some burned CDs won't read at all. They play fine in my wife's car, on the computer and everywhere else, just NOT in the VIBE.I have burned CDs from friends, using NERO or ITUNES, and they work, just not any that are off my own computer, and only in the VIBE.I haven't tried another VIBE, but I might do that.
