Custom fiberglass panels for speakers near hatch

Post by dbvibe »

Ok everyone, as far as I know, I am the first to do this. I worked many hours doing this and it was my first time glassing. Here are 2 pics of the speaker panels I made. They were for 2 JL XR speakers. My Vibe was made for surround sound purposes since I have a Panasonic tv, dolby surround sound built in, sub, and all sorts of nice toys inside. I think this would be a totally neat idea to mass produce for those who want REAL rear speakers. Ane believe me, these sound AMAZING!!!!! I texture coated them and painted them the EXACT color of the original panel. I got a special texture coat that is used for matching panels inside of cars. $40 a can though, thats the downside. Great stuff though.

That is a damn good idea, nice placement, dont need big subs, good imaging, and they dont get all banged up with shifting cargo. You should look at merketing those, or sell the plans and rights.I am more interested in those than the ones that mount in the sides of the cargo space.
