Hoaky or aight?

Post by pissedoffgokart »

OK, on the never ending search for the right performance/sound/and priced muffler I ran across this....It is called the Revolution R2. It supposedly created the back pressure needed for torque but boasts it is free flowing as well? Sounds odd, I cannot find anything on this on the web except for the site they sell them on. ANYONE heard of this?

we had a post on another exhaust device that was supose to increase backpressure a while back, try searching turbolater or something like that.the general concensus was that it was crap. however this is a totally diferent item so who knows, but ill bet it probably wont work, from the looks of it it definately wont FIT!! unless your planing on cutting the rear bumper. how much was it? if its cheap and you want it just be the guinea pig and let us know how it turns out. im saving up for the skunk2, yes its expensive but worth it in MY OPINION!
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!

It was somewhere in the neiborhood of $230. It would fit with some creative welding but, not willing to spend that on a gimick, if it is as it appears....

It reminds me of a water-hammer device in a home plumbing system.

I think you're right, Lorin! I have seen similar devices on racing motorcycles a few years ago. They called them "boost bottles" and they were supposed to act as resonators, somehow improving the pressure tuning of the exhaust for more power. It's hard to imagine them helping on just any car, especially mounted way back there, downstream of two cats and a resonator! I'd have to see third party dyno data to be convinced.
