What this website is going to become ?

Post by Dan »

I was wondering, what's going to happen with this WebSite ??I like it very much (even if I don't write often in it), because we can find a lot of useful information about our lovely Vibe ; but I wonder what this site will become when nobody will be interested anymore to post here. (like in a few year) Does this site will close ?? Do you think that somedays, this site will become less and less visit by everyone until this site close ?? (like some other car's website in the past)I hope that this site will always stay alive !!!! By now, everyone do a excellent job. Unfortunately I can't say that this site is became what it is now because of me... like I said before, I didn't write a lot in this forum but I love to come visit and you can be sure that I visit this website at least four times a week. Long life to this Website ! To every members of this forum (specially the moderator) CONGRATULATION and keep the good work !

I have faith. No matter how old the vehicle or whether or not it is still in production, people have questions and others have answers. There are many sites out there like this one but for older cars and such. the vibe's is sure to stick around being that its not your average car....my father would refer to an average car as a "Ford Boring" (usally describing a ford taurus) My first car, an '86 volvo 240 wagon....had tons of info online and sites just like this. for my 93 jeep grand cherokee it was the same story, if fact i am still a member of the the midwest jeep thing club which is not only online but actually gets together to go wheelin.....i think we will survive...no doubt here!Viva el Vibe (or whatever...i took 4 years of spanish and i speak it as well as a bucket of hair!!)-Phil

I have a 1986.5 Nissan pickup that I resisted trading in for my Vibe. And since I kept it I decided to see if there were any dedicated web sites like this for the truck.Guess what? There are several. And since the truck was a new design when I bought it they kept it in production until '95 or possibly later. So that means some of the web sites created when the WWW was a baby are still thriving. And if the Vibe is available basically unchanged for a few years, there will still be plenty of "new" vibe owners looking for this web site, and many who buy Vibes used who will too.Got a Nissan hardbody? Go to http://www.4x4parts.com and click on discussions, then on the Hardbody link. I'm OplaBlue there.Have faith, and keep coming back to participate in this web site and it may survive longer than your Vibe does.KSNeptune.

Dan,AS long as you have Vibe owners who like to discuss the car and other portions of trafficl life, it will always be around. If the Vibe is ever discontinued, it will be a collector's item for those that still have it.

Http://www.xterraownersclub.com has been around since 2000 and it has over 6000 members. It is probably the biggest source of Xterra information on the net. Also many of the poster enjoy their time there so much, that the "off-topic" forum is HUGE. Anything and everything is discussed there and its very very entertaining. Also many regional clubs have sprung up and there are many many many gathering meetings where people go off-roading/camping/even just to hang out and eat a burger. There are also Mod parties and we frequently trade/sell parts. Its a great community, genvibe will probably be like that in a few years when the membership has been built up.
