taking out front speakers

Post by clintsal »

what is the quickest and easiest way to take out the front door speakers? namely, how do you deal with the rivets, i chipped the plastic part on one corner trying to get it off. tried a search to no avail. im sitting in my car now, trying to figure it out, so the quicker help comes the betterCWS

From the write up linked a few days ago it sounds like you have no choice but to drill them out. I would link it but I have it bookmarked at home (Still at work).

If I remember correctly you can either drill the rivets out or punch them out with a nail and a hammer. that'll force the back of the rivet to pop off.I ended up just drilling mine.
