my vibe is at about 13k miles, stock conti tires.something (sounds like from front both sides) is developing a progressively worse drone/howl/super high frequency vibration.at about 15-40mph you notice it most, when normal road noise is not a factor. sounds like i have mud bogger tires on, only not as aggresive. not noticeable at highway speeds, and no "out of balance" type shimmy/vibration. similar sound/feel to driving on a "freshly ground" (when they surface grind concrete to take several inches off and resurface) section of road.car drives straight, no hard pulls, but does wander on the highway randomly.tire tread/wear looks OK, certainly not bald. i do have eibachs but have a straight alignment, and the problem just started developing before installing them.any ideas?
don't know. I have Fuzion HRI tires on mine and it does that but it isnt too bad, I beleive mine is the tires, they have a more aggressive tread so I beleive that is what it is.

from my experience with those conti tires... its more then likely the tires. They become noisy as they wear out and are likely the cause of the issue. Other Vibe owners have had this problem before.

had them checked out by 2 tires places (not dealer yet).first one set "dude those tires are shot, broken belt and cupped on all of them"second one said "yeah, there's something wrong with those tires... flat spots. have dealer check suspension"wish me luck on my dealer visit...
one week later i have 4 new eagle RS-As on the vibe.thinking about trading up at the tire place while they are still brand new and either getting comfortreds or upgrading to 17s with all seasons.dealer found (even though i left a copy of the TSB on the passenger seat) the TSB 1740464 or whatever has been posted and agreed.granted the RS-As are not that great, its still a WORLD of difference in handling and noise from those POS continentals.
