Hey everyone,New '06 Vibe owner here....Bought the car used w/ only 4000miles on it last week w/ a clean CarFax....Here's the issue:Tonight out of the blue, I was putting the car into Drive and as it passed through Neutral it turned off, and then on again once I put it into D. It turned off and then on as quickly as it took to shift it. This happened a couple of times. Also, happened going from Drive to Neut. to Reverse. Weird! Then on the way home the radio stopped working but the display remained lit. Then the display would flicker and go out. radio would not turn back on. When I got home, put it into Park and the radio turned on! Got out of the car and I could smell a terrible burning smell, but it was too dark to see anything unusual.Any ideas? Bringing back to the dealer tomorrow.

That was my tought too--- Is this Christine reincarnated?!?Well, the dealer has the car now and they're keeping it over night because, of course, the problem cannot be recreated! But, they've run all the diagnostics, and reset the system etc. The only thing they've found so far is that the starter "feels" a little "tight." News at eleven.....

Solution:Make sure all your keys are filed down fully!!!! Apparently one of my keys wasn't filed down fully and it was causing things to go haywire, it wasn't fully engaging---the tech was able to reproduce the problem by wiggling the key in the ignition---- the other key wouldn't do it. Kudos to this tech for figuring out this unusal problem!
