Delphi Navigation Unit

Post by MichaelCArens »

I have been looking for a navigation unit for my car. I can never find a navigation for the vibe, however I have found plenty for GM/Delphi. Has anyone had any experience with putting a GM/Delphi unit in the vobe?? The dimensions and plugs are a 100% match to the vibe. any input would be great

i looked into that route a yr ago. it turns out the newer gm model delphi nav units have theftlock thru a bus data with the pcm.the vibe doesn't support bus data that the delphi unit needs. this is because the pcm is a toyota part. i think the 03 delphi unit doesn't use theft lock. you could find it on trailblazers and escalades. 03 models. for 400$ more than that ebay item, you can get a pioneer avic d1. fits the vibe like a glove. if you still want the oem route. search on http://car-parts.comthey can find you a used vibe nav unit.keep in mind the oem vibe unit isn't touch screen. this was the reason i never got.

I second mcgusto. Also if you get an aftermarket unit like the Pioneer, a Kenwood, or an Eclipse, the maps will be more current, and you get a WHOLE lot more for the money. Plus a lot less aggravation. Also, I only glanced at the auction, but was that ONLY the nav system? In order to really fully enjoy the factory nav setup, you also need the factory 6disc (so you can listen to CD's while you have the nav DVD in), the antenna, and it won't support dead reckoning because you don't have the speed sensor wire in the stock wiring (basically so it can figure out where you are through tunnels or when you can't recieve any satellites.)Trust me, as someone who had the Nav and replaced it, it'd be much better for you to go aftermarket.
