AC temp

Post by kaybeejay »

What temperature is the AC supposed to come out of the Vibe vents at? I swear mines are way way weak. I read somewhere on this board that its supposed to be something like 34 degrees. Can anyone confirm that?

34 degrees!? Are you going to hang meat in your Vibe? Just kidding but 34 is not realistic. 38 at best but anywhere from 38-40 is normal.

Hang meat! That is funny. I am waiting until it gets a little warmer to check the temp of mine. I have seen some other threads that have said they needed to take their Vibe in to get the temp right in the A/C.

BTW, FYI. I read somewhere where you should run your AC every month for at least 10 min to make sure everything stays sealed, even in 10 degree weather.

I have had my Vibe for two months and have turned my A/C on a at least once that I can remember. It might be a good idea to do this once a month though. Thanks for the tip.

Yes, running the A/C in the winter helps lubricate the seals in the system to prevent them from leaking. But remember, the A/C is running when the defroster is on. The light doesn't illuminate but the A/C is running. So if you are running the defroster in the winter you are running the A/C.

Awesome Nova! I forgot that the compressor comes on. Is that what needs the movement to help keep the seals lubricated? Anyways, I use my defroster quite a bit here so I don't think I should have any problems.
