36K and no Warranty Problems

Post by JohnC »

Except the worthless conti tires, my Vibe never needed any warranty work (the front end alignment was checked due to the 13k total wearout of the tires). Only one other of my vehicles was this problem free...an 86 Ford F-150. Guess I should knock on wood so nothing bad happens now that it no longer is under warranty.

Congratulations are in order. Here's to the Vibe having a long troublefree life... And may it not follow in some of our car's footsteps.

About 45k here and no warranty issues/problems, except for the one where I had the cigarette lighter replaced due to a faulty retention clip, minor IMHO. Other than routine maintenance, this car has been great to me for almost 3 years.

No HUGE problems here (that I didn't cause myself anyway ). Little stuff done under warranty, battery, fogged headlamp lens...that's about it. Most of my problems have been from accidents or self induced (we all remember the "smoke is bad" thread...).It may be Toyota, but I still commend GM. If they took the advances they've made with interior materials and applied it to the vibe. Power it with a nice ECOTEC motor, some nice GM gauges and a next gen radio, and this car would be rockin. Oh, and do something about the face. I'm still nto feeling it.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

The only warranty work I had done was cosmetic. I had the cladding extenders from the '04 put on because my cladding was all chipped. and a clip broke on my passenger side switch plate, other than that the car has been solid, I am at almost 37k.

Only been to the dlr once, for the rotten egg smell. All fixed now...No issues with my Conti tires, still look new, rotate every 5,000 miles and always aired up to spec! Most of my vehicles only go to the dlr once maybe twice under warranty. My tools and me are the extended warranties!

I found this website just the other day and it has been very helpful for me and my Vibe. I am at 61K and I have never seen the dealer since I bought it. Oil, tires, brakes that's it.

I also had to get my cigarette lighter fixed and that is all I have gone in for. I am at 50,000 KM - I have warranty up to 100,000 KM.
