Roof Cargo Holder question

Post by The Sauce Boss »

I just came back from a trip from NYC to the Outer Banks in NC. I had my wife and two kids and the rear was packed as far up as it would go. I definitely need a cargo roof rack and am looking for advice. Has anyone purchased and used one yet? Is there a reason to buy a soft one versus a hard one? Are some brands better than others? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you talking about a cargo box to sit on your roof rack?If so there are tons of them on the market. I have a cheap plastic one that holds 10 cubic feet with a hole for a padlock that has served us well. People could still cut the straps and make off with the whole thing but it keeps the honest people out.The Fiberglass ones look better and you could have them painted to match your car.

I just saw one in a Cabela's magazine this past weekend. It was 2 large duffle bags with wheels and everything and then a cover to go over top of them. It looked really cool and it was only 130 bucks for everything. I am thinking about getting it myself.
