Sound system, ETR AM/FM stereo with CD player and MP3 playback, includes Radio Data System (RDS), digital clock, programmable equalizer, TheftLock and (U65) Sound system feature, 7-speakers, Monsoon
U65 *is* the proper RPO code for the audio system part of the 2006 "Sun and Sound" package. Whether that same code is used elsewhere on GM vehicles, I do not know. The stereo itself that does MP3 playback is RPO US8. And again, if that code is used on other GM cars, I do not know.It all boils down to what Raging says. In a nutshell, if you put any Delphi audio system from a TRUE GM car in your Vibe, it will not work. It relies on the vehicle's data bus to properly function, which obviously, these Toyotas do not have. The radio will be looking for a VIN or some other identifier from the vehicle's computer, and it will not find what it is looking for in your car, so you will be left with a paper weight, as it won't exit from its theft lock mode. Now, if you find the MP3 playin' stereo and can confirm it is actually from a 2006 Vibe and NOT any other GM product, more than likely it would work... Provided there were no pinouts changed on the connectors/etc...

i believe that the radio and wiring did not change for the 06 model. only that the radio now accepts mp3. no theft code.only the matrix got a change from delphi to delso equipment @ 05.
