2008 Matrix

Post by Baltovibe »

http://www.matrixrides.com/content/view/16/1/Reminds me more of a minivan, similar to the Mitsubishi Expo and Dodge Vista, in taking away the body molds.

the trix and vibe might look like wagons but aren't. toyota won't bring the redesign model to be a whole different car. specially when the current one sells VERY well. but either way, that wagon looks like poo.

Looks like a tricked-out mini-van (if that's possible)... what happened to the sporty body lines?

Doesn't look too bad, depending on how big/tall/long it is. If it's tall and gumpy like a minivan than EWWW but if its flat and long with an agressive look than it might be a neat car as long as it has the exterrior appearance as the one in the pic. It's gonna turn into one of those cars that needs ALOT of money to look good lol.It kind of looks like a Focus mixed with a Nissan Stagea.

Looks like Toyota is doing with the Matrix like what Mazda did with the P5. Turn what was once a nice little sportwagon into a pathetic excuse for a minivan for people who don't want to say they drive a minivan. Thankfully Pontiac already has the Torrent or else that is what our Vibe might be reduced to in a few years.

WHEREGOEST THE MATRIX I THINK GOEST THE VIBE but it's not set in stone yet. • Matrix: A redesign is slated for the 2008 model year. Toyota might market a vehicle that looks like the Japan-market Corolla Fielder, a tall wagon. It is still too far ahead to Know what Toyota will do with the Matrix line in 2008. that is the definite year for the Matrix Redesign.

I seriously hope they don't do that to it. It's absolutely awful. It looks like something Saturn might do. YUCK!

Can you say 'ROOF RACKS'???Domestic vehicles for the Japanese home market usually have of surface embellishment that seldom makes it across the big pond to Uh-merika. I read somewhere that it's because there are few 'wide open spaces' in Japan, unlike the US. Most Japanese cars are only viewed at arm's length parked a crowded street.

notice how the doors look like the Vibe and the molding below(not matrix). Also it just got 4" more glass in the back. Otherwise looks like what we already have. But plainer...

The '08 picture reminds me of the old Civic wagon with a roof rack. Wife, who is interested in the Matrix, said, "Ew! I'm not getting one if it looks like that!"

Hey, AM I the only one who noticed the new RAV4 looks just like a bigger Vibe? If you don't believe...Check the rear quarter window design and hood.
