Hello

Post by Twisted97 »

I am a new member to the posting but not a new Vibe owner. I am intrested in giving a little more bump to the car. I have a 2004 Base, well its my wifes but I still want to "Pump it Up a Little" for my enjoyment. I have read tons of stuff on the GM Supercharger and I cannot see that amount of money for around 50hp. Does anyone have any Ideas?

welcome! well 50hp with out a forced induction is probably unlikely. but theres some small cheaper mods that can give it a little giddy up. -Cold air intake ie. injen cai-full exhaust with cat.back, like headers, downpipe and magnaflow exhaust.-new chip , i think emanage has one? or something like that.-throttle body spacer-nosif you search any of these you'll find a bunch of threads on people that have them and more!

I think the supercharger is probably not a good idea anymore, reading damronjr's supercharger support forecast at the bottom of http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...age=4some people have added turbochargers though

welcome aboard. depending on how much $$$ you are looking to spend, there are lots of options for the 04 base models. -turbos and superchargers (but more risky for engine issues)-cold air intakes (CAI) or short ram (SR)-exhaust (Magnaflow is the best)-engine management chips (Unichip or Emanage both are $$)amidst other things. as for just getting a nice oomph and grin on your face for the best price, I'd go with a CAI and Magnaflow exhaust. If you have the money then add a Unichip to tie it all together.

you want noticeable GO. turbo is the way to go. but a new system, you're looking at 4k$. a guy on http://matrixowners.com is selling a used one for 2400$.superchargers are good for GO, but the gain doesn't seem worth the 2k$ it cost.
