How many PlayStation 2 owners would like to see a Vibe or Matrix in the next edition of Gran Turismo?Personally I would love to see what kind of mods you can add to the car. I am a huge fan of Gran Turismo 3 and they have made the game very realistic. I know there are only rumors about Gran Turismo 4, but I think it would be very cool to see a Vibe or a Matrix in it.

Unfortunately not rasermon. Gran Turismo 3 is made by Sony for the PlayStation 2 only. We did not own one until about a month ago when I got a call from Sony saying that we won one of the online drawings I filled out for a special edition color PlayStation 2. Talk about cool! The colored PlayStation 2's run $319.44 on Sony's website. It is bright yellow (I was hoping for the dark blue one they had ) with a matching controller and vertical stand. I have never owned a PS2, but I have wanted one for a long time. Talk about lucky! I never win anything, especially something like this! Here is what it looks like:

quote:Arent they coming out with a new PS soon? Not for another year at least. They have games scheduled for the PS2 up until the 4th quarter of 2003. The previous system as I remember went from Fall of '95 through Fall of 2000. I would expect at least 4 or 5 years out of the current system. As for the original topic, it would be kewl, but rather embarrasing. We'd be running in the turtle races with the other bus cars
I have read info that says Sony will be coming out with a new PS3 in late 2005. They are working on a super chip with IBM and it's suppose to be 500 times more powerful than the faster processor available today. The grafics are suppose to make it look like your watching a TV program. They will be as life like as possable. This is all that I have heard or read. I'm sure more info will come out in the future.
quote:The only game system I have owned was the original nintendo, that was it.Since you mentioned an old system first... I've had many, but I went to the museum yesterday and saw the first one I had on display. Atari VCS (later the 2600).Actually, the museum had the later 4 toggle version. I had the original 6 toggle version. If you know what I mean by 4 and 6 toggle, you must be as old and hopelessly nerdy as I am.

I am 25 years old. I remember when my dad bought the Atari 2600 around 1983-1984. We used to play that thing all the time. Even my grandfather would play bowling on it. We had the paddles, too, so I could play my favorite game, Warlords, on it. I think it was a 4 toggle console. Wow, if I knew it would become a museum piece, I would never have thrown it away. Wait, it might still be up in my mom's attic. I'll have to check sometime.
