According to Cardomain.com who recently released data showing what consumers are buying... showed that many young buyers are buying the ugly Scion. The Scion vehicle is at the moment making up for 12.3% of all 2005 model year vehicles posted on Car Domain. The break down is 53.7% of all Scions were tCs, 39.4% were Xb and 6.8% were xAs.Ford is second on the most popular list (???) followed by Chev in third place (most likely a lot of j-body cars)I summed up this article from the latest SEMA magazine.

That Scion that looks like a bread box on wheels is kind of neat. I htink ti woudl be a great in town vehicle. Cheap. Good mileage. Probably reliable.

I guess if I had to choose "best looking Scion" it would have to be the tc...I get the "pleasure" of seeing an XA at work every day, the girl who bought it had a fricken wheel cover fly off sometime within the first few weeks that she owned it. It's quite a looker! Still better than that horrid bread truck I guess.

Now I have to admit, the xB at the Detriot auto show (fusion orange in colou) with the turn tables was awsome... and I like (But would never own) the sports car looking one... but still... wow.I think all we Vibers need to make car domain pages and shift the demographic back to Pontiac Vibes

My original purchase plans for a vehicle last year was the Scion xA. But, I would have to order it, wait about a month, and pay almost as much as a Vibe.In the end, I went for the Vibe because it was immediately available (I love instant gratification!), much more practical in size and functionality, and only cost about $400 more. So far, one of the best decisions I have made!

If GM had designed the xB, it would have been condemned by the automotive 'press' and wouldn't sell, like the Aztek. I guess if your name is Toyota, you can get away with anything. The "Toyota Aztek" ...

I have often wondered, had the Aztek been designed by Toyota, would it have been such a "disaster?" Probably not, so many people are more than willing to buy toyotas just because they are toyotas or something. Present company excluded.

The Aztek was so ugly Pat Robertson couldn't even have sold it to one of his fundamentalists.

The orange one was something. Personally, I like the xB. Don't know why, but I've always liked it. The xA's too bland looking for me, and frankly the same is true for the tC.

I think my brother would look ok with one, but not me.

I have yet to see a And Toyota marketed these to be tricked out street machines - every single one of them rolling around here is base model, cheap as can be, no mods, no imagination.Blech... if you're going to buy one of these, at least customize it a little - give it a soul.
I drove the xB and the xA. I xB was a bit harsh on the highway because of the short wheel-base and the crazy aerodynamics but that car is simply HUGE on the inside. The salesman was 6'3" and he looked like a baby in the thing. I did NOT like the gauge cluster on it...... very hard to get used to. The xA had the same exact engine and was still suprisingly big on the inside and much faster than the xB. My friend's girlfriend got a new tC after waiting 2 months for it. I didn't drive it but the interior was very nice but I don't like small two-doors as a daily commuter.
