Actually, I got my car back last Friday, December 23rd. I changed my signature accordingly, curious to see if anyone would notice. Either everyone here is seriously unobservant, or you noticed, but never said anything. In any case, after a VERY long 45 days of turmoil, I got her back. And I will say this. The job they did is AMAZING! I tried with all my might to find visible evidence of old paint vs. new paint, mismatched panels, inconsistent gaps, etc. I could not, for the LIFE of me, find any signs this car had been in the shop! It's absolutely phenomenal! The ONLY issues I have are a noise in the door hinge and a VERY quiet rattle in the door panel -- both problems I'm confident are easily repaired. I must commend Collex Collision Experts of Red Bank, NJ for there phenomenal work. I'm sure they were as peeved about having my car sit there for 2-3 weeks waiting for parts as I was. But, in the end, it WAS worth the painstaking wait. I haven't had a chance yet to grab any real pictures, except for this one from my phone the day after I got it. I'm off tomorrow (Saturday), hoping to get some better pics if the rain stops.(Click photo for full-size version)
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
I would have noticed but I really wasn't around to notice, I didn't get to spend much time at all on here. I'm so glad that you got the car back! You've been through hell, so it is very good to hear that they did a good job at getting her put back together. It's lookin' good! The wait was long, but at least they didn't half-(removed) it once they got the parts in. Many body shops would probably have done exactly that just to get the car out of there. Now, you go enjoy that thing.

I have also noticed that your posting ratio here has really dropped the past couple of weeks! So glad you have your G6 back in good-as-new shape ... would have loved to have seen it earlier this month. Hope nothing else happens ... watch out for that deer!! Now, if this mild weather continues throughout winter, you do not need to get snow tires. Then, you can get the Green Diamonds you really wanted!

I'm so glad 'Erica' finally made it back home--Maybe the milk cartons helped Now how about installing an electronic "Early Deer Warning Defense System"??? I haven't been on GVC much lately... my wife and son are on Christmas vacation 12/23 until 01/09, so I've had less time on-line lately. I actually removed my 'Erica on the milk carton' signature pic as soon as I noticed you had changed your sig (around the 26th, I think).I'm glad they did a fantastic job, and that your long wait is finally over. I, too have been making the 'body shop & insurance agent' scene lately... since 12/28/05 when my 87-year-old mother-in-law's Buick Century was hit broadside at a busy intersection. She's fine, the car is not. Now the insurance adjusters and the body shop are deciding whether to 'total' it. First estimate is about 7-large to repair it.
