IDIOT DEALER I NEED PART #

i need the part # for the bulb that lights up the heater controls.dealer says replace whole unit not replacablei took the burnt bulb out and droped it inside the console i hope it comes with the little beige piece attached or a dash rippin i will goany help would be greatly apreciated.

There is a Toyota part number, 90072-02005 mentioned in this thread but I don't know if that includes the base or not. So far, that is the only part number I know of for these things. I'm still curious about what the GM part number is for these itty bitty things if someone could be so kind...I still need two bulbs AND sockets myself, both of mine are still way down inside the dash too. You're in good company. It sucks having no lighting at all in the climate controls.So yes, your dealer is full of it. These things can be replaced. It's a total pain in the (removed) to replace the bulbs but it is possible. Otherwise, if they intended on making you replace that whole assembly, they would have soldered the bulbs on there, not installed them in sockets!

I'm not an idiot.....but I do have the GM part #.88970578 is called a socket/w bulb.

Specmo Suppies GM with those bulbs So you can more then likely get a better price thru them. I had bought some but they were $3-$7 buck a piece. I think Specmo has there headquaters in detriot area.The only store locating that I know, is located in Flint Mi on S. Dort hwy. I know they have more stores but I don't know where.
