got in an accident, posibility i will get another car...

i got in an accident 2 days ago. i was in the right lane on a 2 lane road with a middle lane, so technicaly 5 lanes. i was approaching a stop light on the right lane and some dude made a left turn infront of me. I did not even see him. I could of not seem him since the other cars were stoped and he went between them to get in some alley on my right. No major damge, but I need a new hood, bumper cover and the middle radator holder reajusted since it went inward. About 1800-2300 damage. He has insurance for another car so no insurance for his current one he was driving. He is willing ot fix it out of pocket to his shop, etc, but I do not trust them, since they tell me all my honest quotes around my sum are too high and they can make it cheaper. The parts alone cost around 1100(hood 500, grilles 110 both, bumper 360 unpainted. So I think they would do a garbage job, or patch up. I did report it to the insurance but only to cover my (removed) in case he does not come up with the money for the rapairs. Also he told me if i could report it the next day so he can add coverage for this car. Kinda illegal.Why I might get another car? Well, is realible, gas milage is so so, around 26 average with good maintanace. But the damn rattles just get me. Sounds worst then my previous car with 92k on it. A pillar makes noise. I can tap it and makes it. There is a noise behind the glove box, right door, bad speaker that buzzes even when is not on. I think the quality inside is bs. Also, the paint is ****, really. I got more dings (chips and scratches from the road0 on this one, then on any other cars. Really thin. I might get a xA stick, or 05 civic coupe stick, new or slighly used. To bad I refy it and saving about 40 bucks more a month...

if you do r u going to sell any parts or just trade the whole car in with the upgrades on it?

no upgrade, lol, just tints, and alot of pine airfreshners...lol
