Prices for the CF A-pillars for those who on the list w/ MO.com

Post by xrs22 »

So i went down to blacksheeps yesterday and met up w/ ty. He's the one i'm goin' through to get this done since he uses those CF guys out of Seattle or around there. He had sent me an email but i didn't get it i guess. Anyway, this is how it's gonna play out, first it's gonna be $400 for each mold. The molds are the double pod, triple pod and the plain pillar on the passenger side. I then have to break down the deposit fee for everyone to finish the project. The CF guy has everything mocked up and ready and was just waiting on us. They had other stuff they were doin prior to us so they had to attain to that first. But seeing as we're gonna be the most they're gonna put out it's also good business for them and they're hiring more people rather it being just the two of them. Also the R&D took some time as they need to get everything perfect. They have to send the prototype down for the test fit and if everything fits properly then we proceed to finishing the pillars. Now for the pricing it's gonna be,$175ish but not over $180- for the double or triple pod A-pillar.$85-for the plain side A-pillar.Keep in mind that these are custom products that nobody else has made in CF yet. These are good as far as i'm concerned. Some info., ty had talked to another company about these and they guy said why weren't you charging $250-275 for the pillars being as they're custom and he's replied he'd rather keep the price down to an affordable price for amount of ppl they're making them for versus at a higher price for just a couple of ppl. Which is a good point and a good business point at that. So we'll get the deposit going as i gotta find who the payments are going to again. Then when they send the prototype down for the test fit and i get the pics. up everything should be done by the beggining of the new year. I'll try and get the email again since i requested it to post on here in the same detail if not further. Sorry it took so long but custom stuff takes time but it should be done to our liking. I'm gonna post the list of names up again and if your still in put a asterisk in front of your name and if you dropped of then put a minus sign somewhere that i can see and maybe pick some ppl up for that place.thanx,xris-A-pillar (2- 2 1/16 pods) 1. I thought Bluecrush dropped the 3-pillar? If so, put me down for that instead of the 2-pillar. I assume the price we will be paying is the $175 and you didn't list those of us who wanted the plain cf pillar for the right side. Glad we are finally getting somewhere on this.

I can get those as well but most of those who are getting the podded pillars are getting the plain as well. Yeah it took some time but it happens but the engine cover should go fast though.

Hey! Now that I have money I would like to get in on the three pod pillar. I'm asuming there are limited numbers of the three pod. If you could clarify the limits for me that would be good because I forgot how many were said back in the first post.

I wanna get an even 10 for each 2-pod and 3-pod pillar. I gotta see where we're at on the 3-pod if there's 10 i'll close that one out and finish the 2-pod.

Someone's welcome to my spot - although a good price, a wee tad on the high side for me at the moment - can't justify the expense

Merzbow- I'm gonna see about the price for both maybe a little more of a discount.Joholste- I'm having them make both side in CF, since nobody is gonna wanna have one oem pillar and one Cf pillar.I've decided to wait till they send the prototype and get the pics. for everybody. Nobody want's to blindly shell out money for a product they haven't seen yet so. I'm gonna work on that on my part and we'll see what happens.

Yeah that would be good. I remember the carbon fiber hood group by from JSP and it ended up being modelled after the Matrix hood that was already being made, AND it was the shottiest quality I've ever seen on any car part.

lol...no one knows with carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is that magical material that when custom takes an un-predictable amount of time...just like hte JSP hoods that disappeared for a year! We'll be hearing about this again around February of next year.J/K, I trust that the group buy is still on because I really want a pair;)

Depending on how they look, I might be interested would prefer a 3 pod a pillar w/ passenger side pillar, but if that one is closed, I would settel for a 2 pod. Looking forward to seeing one installed. How much down would you need?
