According to the GM brochure, the fuel tank capacity is 50 liters (11.0 imp. gal.). Today I bought fuel for the first time--I wanted to wait till the warning light goes on. However, I was surprised when I managed to buy 50.102 l., more than the stated tank capacity--and I'm sure that there were still a couple of liters left in the tank! My Toyota Corolla's fuel tank is also 50 liters and when I was really 'pushing it' and driving with the warning light on for some time, the maximum amount of fuel I was able to buy was 45 liters. So I wonder, is the fuel tank's capacity greater than 50 liters?
The Vibe and Vibe GT have a 13.2 US gallon tank. The AWD Vibe has a 11.9 US gallon tank.1.0 US gallon = 3.79 liter = 0.833 Imperial gallon 1.0 imperial gallon = 4.55 liter = 1.20 US gallon 1.0 liter = 0.264 US gallon = 0.220 imperial gallon Vibe/Vibe GT = 13.2 US gallons, 50.03 Liters, 10.99 Imperial gallonsVibe AWD = 11.9 US gallons, 45.10 Liters, 9.91 Imperial gallons50.102 Liters is 12.23 US gallons and 11.02 Imperial gallons. Are you sure the gas station you got gas from has accurate pumps? Think about it, they charged you for 50.102 Liters but may have only given you 49 Liters.

Thanks for your reply. Well, I've bought gas at that particular gas station (Sunoco) a couple of times before and never seemed to have any problems. I'm really puzzled! It was my first fill-up--but not the lat, so I'm sure I will have many opportunities to test the capacity of my fuel tank. In any case, I will keep you posted.
