30 inches of snow by tonighT!!! The Vibe is stranded in the driveway, beer supply is running low, the wife speaks of mutiny. Morale is poor and Nascar doesn't start for another hour......HHHHHHHHEEEELLLLLPPP!!!!!!!!
We are only getting 25 inches here in central PA -- that extra 5 inches might be the too much -- lol. Can't wait to dig the Vibe out tommorow and see if I can make it to work.
Shadow Vibe - two tone (almost no need for the monotone in this color IMHO) - slate interior - power package - moon and tunes - abs - 16" aluminum wheels - and the GD on the radio! http://www.cardomain.com/id/db_vibe
I guess I should consider myself lucky. Only 12-16 inches expected here in Pittsburgh. We've got about 6-7 inches already, so we're half way there. My Vibe was !TERRIBLE! in the snow today. Could not make it up any hills with packed snow on them. The stock 16 inch tires are aweful in heavier snow. Other vehicles on the road were passing me in the oncoming traffic lanes! My poor Vibe barely got me back to school this afternoon. I had to come back today because I was supposed to have a test Monday morning. I got to my apartment with my girlfriend here at school and found out about half an hour later that my school has cancelled all classes for Monday. Only the 2nd time in about 30+ years that has happened here. They are plowing like mad all around campus all night so far. I guess nobody told the maintenance crews?

We didn't get any snow--but we got lotsa rain!!! It's flooding all over the place in Tennessee. THe temp has dropped below freezing, so now it is sleeting and the roads are freezing. Nobody around here realizes that they need to drive cautiously in icy conditions. A lot still haven't grasped the idea of "don't hit your brakes while going around a curve. This equals Car in Ditch!!!" Can't wait to drive to work today.....
Heather Proud vibe owner I'M DRIVING IT 'TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF! IT HAS SURVIVED ABUSE FROM A DUCK......A COYOTE...AN ARMADILLO...A HUGE DEER (NONE OF THEM WERE PETS EITHER ) ...AND A DAUGHTER....WHAT A CAR! 106K AND STILL GOING STRONG!!!!
I have friends at xterraownersclub.com who have volunteered their vehicles for "hospital use". Basically cause they drive SUV's, they shuttle around hospital employees' to and from work. Where are all those "SUV's are supporting terrorists" now? (note: I also have an Xterra, but there is no snow in California.
About 8-10 years ago I used to take the farm truck down to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and shuttle nurses all day in the snow. It was a lot of fun and I got alot of tips and dates that way
