Storms in midwest shut down NUMMI!

Well, atleast partially. If you or someone you know has a new Vibe (or Tacoma or Corolla) on order, it may be delayed a few days.Since the middle of the week, we've been having problems receiving parts from the midwest that arrive by train. One shift was cancelled on Wednesday. One shift was cancelled on Saturday and the other shift only worked half the shift before being sent home. At this time, seems like the status of some parts, as well as further production is unknown. We haven't seen problems like this since the port strike in '02.But knowing NUMMI, they're going to scramble their logistics over the weekend and do what needs to be done to get us parts for next week. That way we can work 10 hours six days next week and the week after and be close to being caught up by the end of the year.Right now, we're probably close to 1,300 cars and 800 trucks behind for the month. Thats just over a days worth (2 shifts).
