We gust got a taste of winter here in Ohio. I am glad to say my AWD 05 vibe did great. It out preformed mu 01 SUV I sold to get the vibe. It was a Mercury mountaineer

I'm wishing I had 4wd when plowing through the snow up here in Alaska. But my winter tires on my fwd Vibe are not doing to bad. Regardless of FWD, AWD or RWD... stopping is the same issue. but at least you can get going.

I'm looking forward to trying out my AWD this winter. I bought my 2005 Vibe last March just as the snow was melting so I have yet to try it out. Let everyone know what I think. It is actually snowing here tonight. Looks like we're in for a "White Thanksgiving"

When I was testing an AWD I was very impressed with the system. It was pretty slippery on the street so I punched it from a stop and I felt the front tires spin and then I could feel the rears start pushing to get me going. I can't wait to buy one now.

Got to use my AWD Vibe in the snow for the first time today. We had about 8 inches and I was driving on both plowed and unplowed roads. It felt and and handled great, alhough it slides just easily as anything else. There's some debate on here as to if the AWD functions in reverse. I called Pontiac and they say it does but someone on here posted pics of them getting therir AWD stuck in the sand and they claim the back wheels weren't spiinning in reverse. No problems going forward, that's for sure
