We got about 5" today. I have noticed that the mud guards scrape a lot more than they used to, but other than that no problems with the new springs in snow yet.

Ah yes, quite the storm. It didn't get bad here, certainly wasn't anywhere the dire 3"-6" they were predicting in most places. Around the area where I work, it was mainly a rain/sleet/snow event, at home it was mainly snow. Nowhere near the snow that the Mrs. is seeing tonight though! There was still enough snow here to make me appreciate those Blizzaks I bought last year after being stuck. Ahh, the Vibe handles snow, slush, and rain great with those things on there. The snow is gone but I'm not out of the woods yet... Tomorrow will be troublesome. Things are so wet and slushy out there now from where the temps were above freezing. With a low in the middle teens tonight, that crap is going to freeze into one big solid sheet of ice.

Plenty of the "white death" here... about 5+ inches as of right now and it's only been snowing for 6 hours. Will have to see what it looks like tomorrow... driving will be crazy (everyone has to remember how they drove in snow last year!)

The snow is up to the lug nuts on my wheels here in Oxford (no idea how much that really is and I'm too warm to check it for real). I heard the glorious squeal of tires a few minutes ago and looked out to see one of my neighbors attempting to get out, then changing her mind and trying to come back in, and in the process nearly hitting two cars. I was supposed to take some things to the Professor I TA for who is on bed rest currently, but um...given what just happened outside I don't think I should try to go anywhere tomorrow.

All that snow is going to cause late Vibe deliveries. At nummi, we've been having issues with parts arriving by train from different midwest states.1st shift got sent home on Wednesday and 2nd shift is cancelled on Saturday. That will put us about 1100 cars and 700 trucks behind for the month. We haven't had such bad problems with parts deliveries since the port strike in '02.Oh well, now we get to work next Saturday.
