I suspect it's illegal in most states...sort of like driving with only your parking lights on, etc. However, the cops aren't going to enforce it unless it's an accident investigation and after-the-fact. But what can you do? Pathetic driver education programs lead to poor driving habits. You know: Cruise in the left lane and pass on the right, stopping on highway "on" ramps, "turn signals" are optional, etc.
as far as i know, driving with fogs and low beams isn't illegal. not in VA or NY anyways.how can it be unconsiderate? fog light don't even light up past 10 feet in front of you. i am a very considerate person when it comes to driving etiquette. i always flash for hidden cops, switch to low beams when someone is coming the other way. never stop in the box like all these idiots around here do causing worse traffic. i even let people into my lane when nobody else lets them.and yes, i ALWAY use turn signals. i don't even tailgate.
i do all that stuff mcgusto82 does too! hey we supernice drivers arent we!? driving with low beams and fogs is illegal? i thought it would make driving safer, unless your taking about driving with ONLY fog's on and its after dark...thats illegal then.
LEGALITY:- Driving with headlights (low beams) and fog lamps - LEGAL- Driving with fog lamps and no low beams - PROBABLY ILLEGAL- Driving with high-beams and fog lamps - ILLEGALHow could it be illegal to drive with fogs and low beams considering on most cars, the fogs will ONLY work with the low- beams on?

i think we're confusing foglights with driving lights. foglights serve no purpose without the headlights, driving ights, because of the beam can be used without the headlights...they can be used independently of headlights. i'm pretty sure that's how it is

I'd agree with that.I'm pretty sure the general legality is you can't have more than four 'beams' on at any given time. High beams are counted as four beams, as on older cars, they used to have four seperate bulbs on with the high beams.

In Ohio It is legal to drive with fogs all the time. The law states one may only have 4 forward white lights on at one time. The vibe does not have more than 4 at any given time. Fogs are illegal if you have independent low and high beam lights that both come on when using the high beam. That would give you 6 front lights.
