I need help.

Post by FLABSLAB »

Hello everyone. I apologize ahead of time if this isn't the right place to post this. I wonder if someone out there could help me. This past weekend, my "tire inflation" warning light came on, and I immediately went to the station and checked the tire pressures. Sure enough, one was down around 20 lbs. I put air into every one of the tires, being VERY careful that each tire contained 32 psi. I've even rechecked them, and they all are 32 psi. Problem is, that light won't go out. Is there some way of resetting it? I read the owner manual, and it claims the light will go out when the tires are correctly inflated, but it's been a few days and it hasn't gone out yet. Any ideas? THANKS....

have you rechecked pressures? perhaps the one tire has a leak and is too low again?
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Yes, I've rechecked them all. I didn't know if there was some way to reset it once it came on. I guess I'll have to take it into the dealership. Sheesh!

Actually there is away to reset it yourself. I'm at work and can't check, but I think it's in the manual somewhere. I had to do the same thing when I picked up my vehicle and the light wouldn't go off. Can't recall right at the moment how I did it though.

SEARCH to the rescue!Apparently, there is a tire pressure 'recalibrate' or 'reset' button on one of the blank panels near the hatch release.Quote »There is a button on the '05 to "calibrate" the TPS system after installing new tires or toppping off the pressure or fixing a flat, etc.from this thread --> http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=14034Above link also contains a link to the Vibe Owner's Manual pdf files for each model year --> http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1010

Ah yes, the elusive Search button! The info you need is on page 5-61 of the 06 manual.
