on-going problems

Post by vibe-anator »

When my 05' Vibe got about 6,000 miles it devoloped a "thumping" wheel area noise. Dealer replaced wheel bearings but it was still there. they rotated and I drove another 2,000 miles, still there. They checked and corp said some Vibes are reporting this problem so dealer put new tires on my Vibe at 13,000 miles. Now 6,000 miles later, guess what? yeap same thumping is back! I;ve noticed tires are wearing wrong. Dealer says alingment is ok tho. I'm calling dealer Monday...here we go again...Anyone else having this problem?

Check to see if you have a lemon law in your state. GM also has a lemon law policy described on http://www.myGMLink.com. You should see if you qualify for it. 3rd time is a charm in most cases, but the time frames vary by GM and by state.Actually, I just looked on that site and I couldn't find it. Try http://www.lemonlaw.bbb.org It has links to lemon law sites. Good luck!

Other then a few days of annoying "clunks" from my left front strut which after some pointers on here, I fixed myself... no thumping sounds at all from my car... well other then the music.

I would blame it on alignment problems, but maybe there is a loose or defective steering or spuspension component. Maybe one of the wheels is out of round or off center. What was the wrong wear on the new tires like?Sucks to have your new car being problematic. Hope they get it figured out and treat you well. If they discover the real problem be sure to let us know what it was.
