Nice write-up on your web page. You must like playing with the welder!

First off, kudos on the major effort first in installing your system and then documenting it. I have your RAI on my to do list for the summer.Don't take this the wrong way, please put your dumb question filter on.Were you looking for a perfomance gain? Do you think you got one proportionate with your effort? I like a nice sound as much as the next red blooded male, but I allready get compliments on the sound of my 1zz (well principally from my 3 year old grandson, he always sez "race car" when I get the revs up.Also, I didn't check where you live. I assume you didn't install stainless and you aren't worried about rusting?Keep up the great work. I admire a talented tuner on a budget.

Welding is fun, must be the gassy fumes that's attractive to me.... Keeping it low budget, stainless steel would've been 2-3x's more for just for the mandrel pipe plus the welding rods are 3-5x's more than mild steel. Also depends on the grade of SS. Since I'm in Dallas, I'm not worried about rust, I'll just reweld and patch the holes if necessary. BTW, stainless also 'rust' or corrodes but at a much slower rate...not much salt on the roads here.I'll try to get some sound clips this weekend and repost. Thanks,Mo

Oh, forgot to address frosty's other Q's:Performance gain would be minimal if any OR on par with other bolt catback systems. I guess a dyno would be the best bet to quantify any gains. I'd say I spent 10hrs. over 4 or 5 days experimenting and I saved maybe $200 compared to a bolt on system...pocket book wise? Yes, it was worth it. Back ache wise? I'll get over it...
